One journey, two cultures, countless shared experiences!

Students of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali and the French Students came together for a memorable four-day Indo-French Himalayan Experiential Camp in Mukteshwar from 19 to 22 October 2026, where collaboration, cultural exchange and learning went hand in hand.

Working in mixed Indian-French groups, students explored traditional Himalayan handloom weaving, experienced organic food processing and participated in sustainable farming, garlic sowing, composting and animal care. These shared activities encouraged teamwork, mutual learning and an appreciation of local traditions and sustainable living.

Creativity brought the students closer through block painting, while flower plucking, garland making and the decoration of a local Shiva temple offered opportunities to experience regional customs together. At a local school, a unique multilingual recitation of the Shri Ganesh Aarti blending Hindi, English and French made language learning an engaging cultural experience.

The guided Himalayan village trek offered shared discoveries about terrace farming, rural livelihoods and the resilience of mountain communities. From stargazing and cultural performances to bonfire evenings, every experience created opportunities for the students to interact, exchange perspectives and build lasting friendships.

The camp was a celebration of collaboration across cultures, demonstrating how working, learning and exploring together can build understanding, respect and meaningful international friendships.

Learn Together. Explore Together. Share Cultures. Build Friendships.
