ADMISSION CRITERIA & REGISTRATION PROCESS

REGISTRATION TIMELINE FOR ACADEMIC SESSION 2026-27 (10 November to 24 December 2025)
 
NOTE: 
a.  Under-age and over-age applicants will not be considered.
b.  Registration Fee amounting Rs 8,500/- is neither refundable nor transferable. Payment of Registration fees does not guarantee admission has been granted.

Notification on commencement of registration shall be advertised in newspapers and published on the School website
 
1.     AGE CRITERIA: -
Class NSY
Only Children born between 01 April 2022 to 31 March 2023 (Age between 3 to 4 years) as on 01 April 2026. Others need not to apply.
Class IV
Only Children born between 01 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 (Age between 9 to 10 years) as on 01 April 2026. (Boarding House is open for Class IV onwards)
Others need not to apply.
Class VI
Only Children born between 01 April 2014 to 31 March 2015 (Age between 11 to 12 years) as on 01 April 2026. Others need not to apply.
 
FOR SUBSEQUENT CLASSES ADD ONE YEAR:-  No deviation for age relaxation will be accepted. 
 
2.     ADMISSION CATEGORIES: -
a.   General: Open Category.
b.   Sibling: Real Brother/ Sister of Students presently studying in Yadavindra Public School, SAS Nagar.
c.   Alumni: Child/ Legally adopted of Ex-Student of Yadavindra Public School, SAS Nagar who have passed out Class X or XII or have been enrolled as Student of this School for a continuous period of 5 yrs from Class IV.
d.   EWS: Candidates who comply with the provision of RTE Act.
 
*(PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING UP THE REGISTRATION FORM)*
3.     INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM: -
a.   Only one registration form per child is to be submitted. If in the event, it is found that more than one registration form submitted, it will be considered cancelled. Create only one username and password for registration. Please note down these credentials for further use
b.   All information is to be filled in CAPITAL LETTERS only.
c.   For Admission categories GENERAL & ALUMNI - click on the NEW REGISTRATION TAB on the first Registration page.
d.   For Admission category SIBLING - click on the REGISTER FOR SIBLING TAB on the first Registration page.
e.   For Admission categories STAFF WARD & EWS - Please collect the Registration Form from the School office.
f.   In case of twins, register the first sibling under NEW REGISTRATION TAB and the second sibling under REGISTER FOR SIBLING TAB with same username and password. 
g.   Type NA (Not Applicable) where information is not relevant. Blank spaces will not be accepted.
h.   Please note down the registration number on completion of registration process. You cannot edit the registration form post submission. The allotted Registration number will be used in all official correspondence. 
 
4.     REGISTRATION (ONLINE & PHYSICAL VERIFICATION): -
a.   Parent is requested to fill the online registration form, take a printout of the same and visit the School Office with all the relevant documents and Demand draft of Rs. 8,500/- (Eight Thousand Five Hundred only) (Non-Refundable) in favour of “Director, Yadavindra Public School, Mohali”.
b.   The submitted forms will be subject to further detailed scrutiny. Incomplete or incorrectly filled form will render the applicant as ineligible. Therefore, it is mandatory for any one parent to be present during the physical verification of the Registration form & documents. It is also mandatory to submit the Registration Form and the documents within 2 days of applying online. 
c.   Eligible applicants will be allotted a lottery number. List of Eligible candidates will be displayed on the School website (Dates will be notified). Kindly note the number allocated in the eligibility list. This will used at the time of draw.
d.   Parent can register online by clicking on the link given at the bottom. Follow the instructions given below.
 
5.     ONLINE REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS CHECKLIST: - Documents required to be scanned & uploaded during Online Registration (Document size should not be more than 3 MBPS and it should be clear & visible).
a.   Xerox copy of the birth certificate of the candidate, duly attested by a Gazetted / Nodal Officer. 
b.   Two passport sized photographs of the student and a single passport sized photograph of each Parent. 
c.   Attested photocopy of Aadhaar Card of Student & both Parents.
d.   In Case of Foreign National upload, the copy of Passport & OCI.
 
6.     LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED FOR PHYSICAL VERIFICATION:-
a.   Printout of Registration Form alongwith all uploaded documents.
b.   Medical Form duly filled and attested as instructed. (Included in the downloaded Registration form – To be filled by hand).
c.   Boarders Information Form – Only for Parents of Students applying for Boarding facility. (Included in the Registration form – To be filled by hand)
d.   Attested photocopy of Category certificate (if other than General category).
e.   Attested copy of legal document if the child is being brought up by a single Parent. (For official purpose only).
f.   Bank Demand Draft as Registration Fee.
 
7.     INSTRUCTIONS FOR LOGGING INTO THE APP POST REGISTRATION:-
a.   Once registered, the Parent also gets access to the SCHOOL SKOLARO APP. You can login and view/ print the submitted registration form from here also. 
b.   The credentials for logging into the App will be your REGISTERED EMAIL ID/ USERNAME AND PASSWORD, which you have entered on the first page at the time of online registration (As instructed earlier).
c.   The Parent can login to the app through the LOGIN link on the School website home page or the EXISTING USER LINK - SKOLARO APP on the Admission Process Page.
