Community Service
The School does not fail in its duty to teach its children the spirit of sharing, and of reaching out to those who are not as privileged as themselves. Regular visits to orphanages and old age homes help inculcate in the students the qualities of compassion, sharing and caring. Apart from its regular work, the cell becomes particularly active to help people whenever natural disasters strike.
At YPS, there is a very active Wing committed to community service under the 'International Award for Young People' (IAYP) programme. The International award for young people (IAYP), earlier known as the Duke of Edinburgh’s award, motivates young adults between 14-25 years to get involved in a programme of voluntary self development activities. Students enrol for the Bronze, Silver and Gold level awards and are involved in various social activities.
