World knows the famous fashion Czar as J.J. Valaya, but, his school mates better know him as Jagsharanjit Singh Ahluwalia.The 1983 batch pass out 1from Yadavindra Public School, Mohali has made the school proud. JJ joined NIFT, Delhi in 1989 and in 1990 became the First Indian Student to win “The Prix D' Incitation” at The Young Designers International Competition Held In Paris.

JJ was in Chandigarh in December 2008. He specially took time out and came down to join his school mates from YPS to celebrate 25 years of passing out from school. Puneet Vatsayan graduated doing a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and then finished his MBA in International Business from Thunderbird – The American Graduate School of International Management.

 

Puneet is a serial entrepreneur, international business executive, and mentor. He has over 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur and in international marketing and business development in the high tech industry. Puneet has lead many lives and has been an entrepreneur in both India and US; an investor in business enterprises in India, US and Europe; has led and participated in transforming innovation.

 

In 2003, Puneet moved to India and co-founded Mobera Systems Pvt. Ltd. a contract research and development company focused on communication, networking, wireless, and embedded technologies.  Before his move to India, he lived and worked in Silicon Valley.  He co-founded a B2B e-commerce company (acquired by a leading B2B vendor) and was involved in doing a roll up of IT services companies.

 

Prior to starting his entrepreneurial career in 2000 he worked with Centigram Communications (acquired by ADC Communications) in worldwide product management, international marketing and business development, and services marketing groups. He has also worked as Regional Market Manager – Asia, responsible for offices in the Asian continent including offices in India, Singapore, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea and the Philippines.

 

He has also worked with Measurex Corporation (acquired by Honeywell) and U.S. Borax / RTZ in International marketing and business development.

 

Puneet is actively involved as a member of the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) National Committee on IT / ITES and Ecommerce; and the CII National Sub-Committee on MSME in Defense and Aerospace.  Puneet is a charter member and President of TiE Chandigarh; and, a member of the Indian Angel Network.

 

Widely traveled, Puneet has spoken at a number of industry events, symposium and standard body meetings.  He has been profiled in a number of magazines, newspapers and media articles.
