SCIENCE AND SOCIAL STUDIES PROJECT DISPLAY
AT THE JUNIOR SCHOOL, YADAVINDRA PUBLIC SCHOOL, MOHALI

The Junior Wing of Yadavindra Public School today organised a Science and Social Studies Project Display, where the students displayed their knowledge, talent and experience on Science and Social Studies.
A Science Project Display on “The Wonderful World of Plants” was organised by the enthusiastic students of Class IV. The children displayed various plant experiments showing growth rate, transpiration, fruit battery etc. They even conjured up Ayurvedic preparations called ‘Dadi Maa Ke Nuskhe’.
A beautiful skit and dance by the students on the importance of plants was an added attraction. A large variety of amazing and unique flowers were showcased on various charts throughout the Junior School. In a zealous narration, the children shared with all present their experience and knowledge gathered during a day excursion to Panjab University’s P N Mehra Botanical Garden. The children also presented an English song “Rainforests” to the delight of the parents.
The students of Class V displayed their Social Studies Project work on “Multi-Purpose Projects in India”. Models and charts were prepared with ingenuity and skilfulness by the students. They also shared their experiences of their trip to Bhakra Nangal Dam. The different purposes of a dam was effectively brought about by the choir group and the little theatre masters. The teachers of the Junior School assisted the children in making the models of the dams with the help of clay.
